Behind the strip

Inspired by real community incidents and a wider online discussion comparing gated amenities with neighbourhood belonging, this fictional strip looks at two very different ways of knowing who belongs. Formal verification has a curious way of expanding: the visitor register becomes an app, the app becomes a dashboard, and the dashboard becomes a command centre. Meanwhile, across the road, a neighbour has already recognised Rohan, recalled his Pune trip and placed him at House No. 1135. It is less a verdict than an affectionate joke about technology, familiarity and the rituals surrounding apartment security.
